The 5e Lieu

The 5e Lieu is a place open to all, visitors and curious people, that allow them to (re)discover the city of Strasbourg through its heritage, its architecture and its cultural life.

The 5e Lieu is thus considered as a starting point for discovering the city, its history, its richness and its cultural structures thanks to a complete offer: information and advice, ticketing for shows, exhibition tours, cultural and educational programming.

With more than 1000 m2 accessible to the public, the 5e Lieu combines the space for promoting the cultural offer, the exhibition "Un voyage à Strasbourg" and the Print Room.

On the ground floor: reception of the public and promotion of the local cultural offer.
On the first floor: the permanent exhibition "Un voyage Strasbourg": through playful and interactive installations, the city is presented in the light of landscapes, architecture and heritage.
On the second floor: the Print Room, with its more than 150,000 graphic works.

Why this name?

The name "5e Lieu" refers both to the address of the building, 5 Place du Château, and to the 5th building on the square, alongside the Cathedral, the Fustel de Coulanges High School, the Palais Rohan and the Museum Œuvre Notre-Dame.
