Sixteen paintings reveal their origins

The Fine Arts Museum is hosting until September 20, 2020 an exhibition entitled "What were the paintings for ?"

Under the title "What were the paintings for ?"  the Museum of Art (Musée des Beaux-Arts) in the Palais Rohanl) is currently organizing an exhibition in the form of a walk through the collections of the museum until 20 September 2020.

This exhibition raises the question of what was the life of the paintings before arriving in a museum.

Sixteen iconic works of art have been selected and staged in the very heart of the museum spaces so that the visitors can admire them in a completely different way. For example, you have to draw a curtain to discover the Venus painted after Titian, or a 3D molding portrait of Richelieu ...

The objective of this exhibition is to give visitors the opportunity to easily acquire the history of each artwork.
