Let's celebrate summer together
The 2022 edition of Summer in Strasbourg higlights the creativity of artists but also of Strasbourg residents and offers many cultural, musical, artistic and sporting events and activities :
From July 8th to August 28th,
- the summer show on the Cathedrale, a video sound mapping show called " RéfleXions" with a novelty this year : the Percussions de Strasbourg will perform on the Place du Château every Friday and Saturday evening.
- The summer docks, a beach specially equipped for the summer on the peninsula Malraux waterside
June 21st, World Music Day
For World Music Day, the City of Strasbourg invites you to celebrate live music, discover a wide range of music genres and let the festive ambience transport you beyond the city streets.
From June 24th to 26th, "Symphony of Arts " in the Jardin des Deux Rives on the banks of the Rhine. . This is one of the summer highlights and kicks off Strasbourg’s cultural season with a celebration of music and including open-air sing-a-long cinema, DJ sets, dance classes and concerts. It brings the Philharmonic Orchestra, a big audience and music together for this popular festival ! This year, the orchestra has the pleasure of welcoming Benjamin Biolay on stage for what promises to be a superb concert in the heart of the Deux Rives garden. The French singer-songwriter’s smooth voice will join forces with the powerful orchestra before a finale beneath the starry sky.
From July 9th to August 28 th, concerts of classical music, jazz, rock, pop and rap in the Parc du Contades every Sunday , as well as shows for children every Wednesday. The Place du Temple Neuf hosts theatre, dance and reading events every Saturday.
July 14th, French National Day. Celebrate Bastille Day at a traditional local dance or bal populaire and a dazzling pyrotechnics display.
From August 13th to 15th, Street Art Festival in Strasbourg (Farse). Around thirty groups of artists offer dance, circus, theatrical and musical perform in various squares of the city and in the Heyritz Park. Sponsored by the City of Strasbourg for seven years, the Strasbourg Eurométropole Street Arts Festival (FARSe) draws together the residents of Strasbourg and visitors at the juncture where poetry and the ‘right to the city’ meet. Free and open to all, FARSe brings the streets of Strasbourg alive in summer and each year introduces new ways to enchant the public.
July 7th and 21st, August 4th and 18th , the 5th Lieu (place du Château) organizes events for young audiences.
July 16th and 30th, August 13th and 27th, the Lieu d'Europe (8 rue Boecklin) offers concerts dedicated to European culture.
In addition to all this program, there will also be events and sporting activities in all the City districts of Strasbourg.
